Synopsis

Ryuuku est un shinigami ordinaire, autrement dit un Dieu de la mort. Son seul et unique problème actuel est qu'il s'ennuie dans le monde où il est. Alors pour se divertir, il va laisser tomber son "Death Note", autrement dit son carnet de la mort, dans le monde des humains. Sachant que quiconque ramasse le Death Note en devient propriétaire, Ryuuku sait qu'il va s'amuser de cette manière, et il est loin d'imaginer sur quel humain il va tomber !

Le nouveau propriétaire est Yagami Raïto, un jeune lycéen de 17 ans. Raïto est un élève plus que brillant, mais il déteste vivre dans le monde actuel, détruit par l'argent et le pouvoir. Et c'est avec ce Death Note qu'il décide de façonner un Japon, et même le monde, à sa façon ...
